Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead and develop a team of 50–100 direct report Amazon Associates in a fast-paced, on-site warehouse setting. You will mentor staff, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and coordinate shift scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The role includes extensive training to become an effective people leader and ensure operational targets are met across the fulfillment network. Location-based postings include opportunities across multiple centers.

Qualifications

• Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree. You must meet degree requirements before your first day.
• Preferred: enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
• Walk the floor regularly to stay connected with your team and spot issues.
• Drive safety, quality and productivity metrics in real time.
• Oversee truck deliveries and handling of packages, including pallet jack operations.
• Lead team huddles and communicate goals, safety priorities and focus areas.
• Wrap up shift with clear handoff to the next manager and document performance insights.
