Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff at assigned sites and ensure delivery of high-quality service within budget. You will lead teams, coordinate hiring and training, set schedules, inspect work, and maintain records.

Strong communication, customer focus, and leadership are essential to build lasting client relationships and successful facility maintenance. Ideal candidates will have business-level English, 2+ years of management in service industries,

Qualifications

• Must have business-level oral and written communication in English.
• Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial.
• Able to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service skills and active listening.
• Ability to lead and encourage teamwork; negotiate and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Hire, place, and coach janitorial staff; develop performance improvement plans.
• Understand and champion company principles, values and people culture.
• Assign duties, inspect cleanliness and quality; review work performed.
• Manage schedules within labor budget and account for labor cost.
• Conduct new hire orientation, safety training, and job training.
• Prepare and review time sheets, reports, work orders, and supplies.
• Communicate with employees and escalate issues to empower success.
• Visit accounts regularly to maintain top-quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly and maintain high satisfaction.
• Document customer contacts and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
