Diversified Maintenance is seeking an Area Manager to oversee janitorial staff across assigned sites and ensure delivery of high-quality service within budget. You will supervise personnel, manage schedules, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of management experience in a service-related industry.
• Business level oral and written communication skills; English fluency.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
• Ability to lead and encourage teamwork; resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Selection and placement of janitorial personnel; hiring decisions and performance appraisals.
• Understand and champion company principles and people culture.
• Assign duties, inspect work for cleanliness and quality, review performance.
• Determine work procedures and prepare schedules within labor budget.
• Conduct new hire orientation and safety training for hourly staff.
• Prepare time sheets, reports, and work orders and ensure records.
• Communicate with employees and coach to empower success.
• Visit accounts regularly to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and maintain strong relationships.
• Document customer contacts and follow up to close issues.
• Monitor accounts for new work opportunities and contract growth.
• Ensure Quality Control site visits are completed and recorded.
