Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff at assigned sites and ensure customer satisfaction through quality service delivered on time and within the established budget.

The role requires managing personnel, aligning with company principles, and maintaining strong client relationships. This position offers full-time opportunities across various sites with room for career growth within our cleaning, landscaping, and restoration services portfolio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
• Ability to lead and encourage teamwork; negotiate and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Select and place janitorial personnel; hire decisions, performance appraisals, and development plans.
• Champion the company's strategic principles, core values and people culture.
• Assign duties, inspect work for cleanliness and completion; review quality of service.
• Maintain labor budget by determining procedures and schedules.
• Conduct new hire orientation and safety training for hourly employees.
• Prepare and review time sheets, incident reports, and training records.
• Communicate with employees and mentor them to empower success.
• Visit accounts regularly to ensure the highest service quality for customers.
• Resolve problems and complaints promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Document customer contacts and follow up to close issues.
• Monitor accounts for additional work opportunities within the contract.
• Ensure Quality Control site visits are completed and recorded.
• Spend time at account locations to support outcomes.
