Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Area Manager for its Operations network in Illinois. This full-time, entry-level leadership role oversees 50-100 hourly associates and requires on-the-floor leadership, mentoring, and a focus on safety and performance in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

You will motivate teams, ensure tool availability, and train staff through extensive programs provided by Amazon. The role involves nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, with relocation support at offer stage where

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026.
• Currently enrolled in or graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment (at applicable facilities)
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach
• Climb and descend stairs (when applicable)
