Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is hiring Area Managers in Illinois to lead and develop a team of hourly associates within our Operations network. This full‑time, on‑site role focuses on safety, quality, and productivity in fast-paced warehouse environments across multiple IL locations.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a related field, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in progress; degree requirements met before start date.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

Support, mentor and motivate 50-100 direct report Amazon Associates.
Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
Stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Oversee truck deliveries, sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment.
Walk the floor to spot issues and drive safety, quality and productivity.
