Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates in one of our Illinois fulfillment centers, sort centers, or delivery stations. This is a full-time, entry-level leadership role focused on safety, quality, attendance and performance.

You will mentor and develop your team to meet goals, and participate in extensive training to become an effective people leader within Amazon's Operations network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience or education in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 50–100 hourly associates.
• Motivate and manage team to meet goals.
• Oversee warehouse operations and safety practices.
• Coordinate deliveries and material handling.
• Maintain performance, attendance and quality standards.
• Adapt to varying shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
