Job summary

Amazon in Joliet, IL is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of 50–100 hourly Associates in a fast-paced fulfillment environment. This full-time, entry-level leadership role focuses on mentoring, developing, and driving performance on the floor.

You will supervise shifts, oversee deliveries, and promote safety, quality, attendance and high service standards across the operations network in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree completed between May 2024 and August 2026.
• Strong communication skills, verbal & written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 50–100 hourly Associates.
• Work independently in an autonomous warehouse environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Regularly work nights, weekends and holidays per business needs.
• Oversee truck deliveries and sort packages using pallet jacks.
• Operate PIT equipment where applicable and step in as needed.
• Maintain safety, quality, attendance and performance on the floor.
