Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager in Lansing, MI to lead a team of hourly associates and drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance outcomes across shift operations.

You will partner with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and HR to meet delivery promises and continually improve processes. A Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of Amazon experience, plus flexibility to work weekends/nights, is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends, nights, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA, HR to meet objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in variable temperatures and weather conditions at delivery sites.
