Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff across multiple sites in the US-FL area, ensuring quality service and adherence to budget. You will lead hiring, training, scheduling, and performance reviews while developing strong client relationships and maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.

You will interact with customers regularly to uphold service quality and coordinate with site teams to meet labor budgets and deadlines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial.
Business level English (speaking, reading, writing).
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead and encourage teamwork; negotiate and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

Select and place janitorial personnel; hiring decisions and performance appraisals.
Understand and champion company principles, values, and culture.
Assign duties, inspect cleanliness, review work quality.
Determine work procedures and schedules within labor budget.
Conduct orientation, safety training, and on-the-job training.
Prepare and review time sheets, reports, and records.
Maintain open communication and coach employees for success.
Build relationships with customers by visiting accounts regularly.
Resolve problems to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Document customer contacts and follow up to resolve issues.
Monitor accounts for work order opportunities and contract expansions.
Ensure Quality Control site visits are completed and recorded.
Spend time at locations to support outcomes.
