Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specified store area and oversee daily operations as the Manager on Duty. You will supervise associates, open and close the store, ensure merchandise presentation, safety, and a welcoming shopping environment while executing company policies.

The role requires excellent communication, supervisory experience, and ability to train staff on POS systems and customer service standards; evening and weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise store operations and Associates on the floor during shifts.
• Open and close the store and ensure merchandising standards are met.
• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment and address safety concerns.
• Train and coach Associates on cash handling and POS procedures.
• Ensure stockroom organization and merchandise presentation meets company standards.
• Assist with payroll administration and scheduling as assigned by Store Manager.
