Job summary

Meijer Inc. in the South Indianapolis area is seeking an Area Leader to drive engagement, coaching, and financial performance across the area. You will oversee Leads and Team Leaders, manage staffing needs, and ensure operational excellence.

You bring a Bachelor’s degree, 4+ years of retail or customer service, and a proven track record in leadership, safety, and inclusive culture, with a focus on process improvements and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• A passion to provide industry leading service.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members with clear direction.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information for informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee area operations and financial results by aligning with the budget.
• Coach and develop Leads and Team Leaders; assign daily work for team members.
• Ensure safety and store compliance; manage overall condition and scheduling.
• Drive staffing, scheduling, forecasting, and staffing needs; resolve conflicts.
• Identify process improvements and support talent development and succession planning.
