Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an Area Specialist to provide essential administrative support for 1-3 Customer Center locations in Charlotte/Greensboro, NC. The role focuses on cash flow activities, HR and safety policy compliance, and facility oversight, reporting to the Area Operations Manager.

The Area Specialist will also assist with HR and Finance tasks, manage purchasing and onboarding, coordinate training events, and help ensure regulatory and employment-law compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 2 years related experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office required.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred.
• Financial acumen, problem solving, and data analytics skills required.
• Salesforce, SAP, ERP and related software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate resolution of disputed customer invoices, process portal invoices, manage credit memos, reconcile cash and credit card transactions, and assist with creditworthiness decisions.
• Organize new customer/vendor account setup and manage account changes; ensure GRNI compliance.
• Manage indirect purchasing to resource Customer Centers (facility services, office equipment, supplies).
• Handle phones, mail, and office filing.
• Complete customer/contractor forms and request insurance certificates.
• Manage training calendar and employee engagement events; arrange catering and supplies.
• Coordinate facility maintenance with Service Supervisor and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance to manage data for reporting and decision-making; monitor policy compliance and address discrepancies.
• Assist Area Operations Manager and staff with reports, special requests, and projects.
