Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a Multi-Office Leader to oversee a portfolio of 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high-quality client experience and strong operational execution. You’ll lead and develop Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, coaching teams to anticipate client needs and deliver expert guidance.

You will manage staffing, facilities, compliance, and day‑to‑day operations across offices, travel frequently between locations, and align priorities to improve client outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in a multi-unit retail, service, or operations environment.
• Strong client‑centric mindset delivering consultative client experience.
• Proven leadership with coaching and accountability.
• Ability to drive business results while managing day‑to‑day operations across multiple locations.
• Experience leading through change and adoption of new processes.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands across multiple locations.
• Experience with facilities, staffing, or compliance.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills including client escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
• Physical ability to climb ladders and lift/move up to 20 pounds.
• Frequent in‑person travel between offices; schedule may include evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 assigned offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact; reinforce strengths and address gaps.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes, tools, and behaviors.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals; set expectations and coach.
• Provide coaching informed by observed behaviors and performance outcomes.
• Identify patterns across offices; address performance gaps and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, operational performance, and business outcomes.
• Monitor performance metrics; implement actions to improve results and retention.
• Ensure daily operations across offices including staffing, scheduling, and compliance.
• Own office readiness including facilities, supplies, recruiting, onboarding, and seasonal prep.
