Job summary

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s ALSAC unit seeks an Advisor - Area Development to drive revenue by managing and expanding volunteer and donor efforts across the territory. You will build relationships with donors, volunteers, executives, and board supporters while coordinating high-value fundraising events.

The role requires five years in fundraising or related fields, travel 15–20%, and evenings/weekends during events, with a hybrid schedule at the St. Louis territory office.

Qualifications

• Five years of fundraising, development, customer service, or sales experience.
• Ability to travel 15-20%, including Memphis visits.
• Demonstrated donor and volunteer relationship management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed revenue goals across territory and area leadership.
• Develop and grow high-value fundraising events (galas, dinners, golf tournaments).
• Lead national fundraising initiatives such as school programs, radiothons, and peer-to-peer campaigns.
• Recruit, cultivate, and steward donors, volunteers, executives, and board-level supporters.
• Write sponsorship proposals and manage donor communications.
• Coordinate multiple active event committees and sponsor outreach.
