Job summary

ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking an Advisor - Area Development to lead revenue growth across a defined territory.

You will recruit and expand donors and volunteers, plan high-impact fundraising events, and implement school programs, radiothons, and peer-to-peer campaigns. You will build lasting relationships with donors, executives, and community partners, travel 15–20% including visits to Memphis, and represent the St.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of fundraising, development, customer service, or sales experience.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Ability to relate to donors and volunteers from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
• Donor/customer-oriented with excellent writing, telephone, and organizational skills.
• Travel is required, including periodic visits to Memphis (4–6 times per year) and frequent travel within the territory (15%–20%).

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed financial goals for territory and area leadership.
• Develop, manage, and grow multiple high-value fundraising events (galas, dinners, golf tournaments).
• Implement national fundraising initiatives (school programs, radiothons, multicultural events, peer-to-peer campaigns).
• Recruit, cultivate, and steward donors, volunteers, executives, and board-level supporters.
• Lead and support active event committees to execute revenue-producing events.
• Develop marketing, recruitment, and promotional plans for events; drive participation and new business growth.
• Maintain accurate documentation of donor interactions and revenue records; prepare sponsorship proposals.
