Job summary

MISTRAS Group is seeking an experienced Scaffold/Line Lift Technician to support Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) operations at the Kuparuk River Unit on Alaska's North Slope. This role provides field leadership, coordinates daily tasks, ensures safe, efficient work, and mentors Insulation Technicians in CUI, scaffolding, insulation, and line lift operations.

Qualifications

• NSTC training completed.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years CUI experience in oil and gas.
• North Slope experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in remote Arctic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership and coordinate daily tasks to ensure safe, efficient, and productive work execution.
• Perform asbestos abatement on process piping in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Complete and submit chain‑of‑custody documentation for RACM per Alaska requirements.
• Complete and submit Daily Compliance Logs for stripping activities per Alaska regulations.
• Erect and dismantle non‑engineered Systems Scaffold.
• Build crib stacks and configurations based on engineered lift forms.
• Construct temporary support structures for line lifting and rest points.
• Perform line lifts using airbags, lift jacks, rigging, cranes, and other approved equipment.
• Maintain OQ certification when required for line lifts or insulation/coating work on DOT piping.
• Mentor Insulation Technicians through on‑the‑job training and knowledge sharing.
• Promote safety programs and coordinate with client representatives to plan daily scopes.
• Review project plans and ensure tools, equipment, and materials are ready before work begins.
• Monitor progress and productivity using tracking systems and JINs.
• Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve field efficiency.
