Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. seeks a skilled Scaffold/Line Lift Technician for our Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) operations at the Kuparuk River Unit on Alaska's North Slope. Lead field crews, coordinate daily tasks, ensure safety and quality in demanding industrial conditions.

You will mentor Insulation Technicians, perform line lifts with approved equipment, and coordinate with ConocoPhillips personnel to maintain productivity and compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Completion of NSTC training (North Slope)
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of CUI experience in oil & gas industry
• North Slope experience preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience using hand and power tools
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a physically demanding position
• Current Asbestos Abatement Certification through the State of Alaska
• Current Building Inspector "AHERA" Certification through the State of Alaska
• Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written English
• Ability to perform job duties while wearing a respirator
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership and coordinate daily tasks to ensure safe, efficient, and productive work execution
• Perform asbestos abatement on process piping in compliance with regulations
• Complete and submit chain-of-custody documentation for RACM and disposal per Alaska requirements
• Erect and dismantle non-engineered Systems Scaffold and build crib stacks
• Perform line lifts using airbags, lift jacks, rigging, cranes and other approved equipment
• Mentor Insulation Technicians and coordinate with Inspectors and contractors
• Review project plans and ensure tools, equipment, and resources are available
• Monitor progress and safety while coordinating with the Inspector
• Maintain OQ certification as required for line lifts and related tasks
• Lead by example in safety and drive continuous improvement in field performance
