Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) Support Lead to oversee field operations at Alaska’s Kuparuk River Unit.

The role combines field leadership, safety oversight, crew support, and operational coordination to ensure safe, compliant execution of activities. The Lead will liaise with field crews, coordinators, inspectors, and management, while mentoring technicians and driving efficiency on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI), NDT, inspection, industrial services, or a related field.
• Previous field leadership, crew lead, supervisory, or coordination experience.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety requirements and field safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, industrial environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing field conditions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technicians, inspectors, coordinators, clients, and management.
• Proficiency with documentation, recordkeeping, and administrative tasks.
• Ability to travel and work a rotational North Slope schedule.
• Must be able to meet all client and site-specific training, certification, physical, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture and ensure crew follow safety standards and are fit for work.
• Serve as safety leader and ensure work complies with policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with Coordinators and ConocoPhillips Inspector personnel to support field operations.
• Expedite tools, materials, PPE, and resources to maximize productivity.
• Spend approximately 50% of the workday providing hands-on support.
• Conduct inspections and field observations to verify quality and safety compliance.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, training, and on-the-job support to CUI Technicians.
• Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Participate in safety activities and report unsafe conditions.
• Document injuries and assist investigations.
• Maintain required training, certifications, and logs.
• Assist with administrative tasks like timesheets, travel, and LOA requests.
