Job summary

MISTRAS Group seeks an Insulation Technician to support Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) initiatives at the Kuparuk River Unit on Alaska's North Slope. This hands-on role involves insulation removal/installation, asbestos abatement, scaffolding, line lifts, fabrication, and general maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

The position collaborates with CUI Specialists and Scaffold/Line Lift Technicians to ensure efficient completion of tasks while adhering to site regulations

Qualifications

• NSTC training completed and valid.
• Asbestos abatement certification current and valid.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in remote environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform asbestos abatement on process piping per regulations.
• Erect and dismantle non-engineered systems scaffold.
• Construct crib stacks (2x2, 3x3, 4x4, crow's foot) per Lift Form.
• Assist with line lifts using airbags, jacks, rigging and cranes.
• Insulation removal and installation as directed.
• Maintain safety and compliance with site procedures.
