Job summary

Worley Group, Inc on the North Slope is seeking a Mechanic Apprentice to perform preventive maintenance on heavy and light duty vehicles under a mentor. The role features a rotational schedule with transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay, and room and meals are provided while in Prudhoe Bay. The position is open to current UAA and AVTEC students enrolled in applicable automotive or heavy diesel programs. Relocation to Alaska is not provided, but logistics are arranged.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Automotive or Heavy Diesel program at UAA or AVTEC.
• Two letters of recommendation required, including one from a program instructor.
• High school diploma or GED.
• NSTC certification training can be provided by Worley if needed.

Responsibilities

• Verify and perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment and/or light duty vehicles.
• Check and maintain oil, grease, and lubricants per procedures.
• Inspect belts, hoses, and leaks.
• Document maintenance performed.
• Coordinate repairs with shop foreman and perform minor repairs/adjustments.
