Job summary

WorleyParsons is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for Prudhoe Bay, AK, on-lease shops with a rotational schedule. The role covers maintenance and repair of heavy and light equipment, including cranes, excavators, and trucks, in a remote Arctic environment.

The candidate must have five years of heavy equipment experience or an accredited diesel/heavy equipment program plus two years, with a valid driver’s license. NSTC certification is preferred and Worley provides mobility and safety training.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of heavy equipment maintenance experience or an associate degree or certification from an accredited diesel/heavy equipment technology program with two (2) years of heavy equipment maintenance experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) certification/training may be provided by Worley if needed.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, diagnose, repair, rebuild and provide maintenance of heavy and light duty equipment such as cranes, backhoes, graders, bulldozers, loaders, tractor-trailers, and trucks.
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand/pneumatic/electrical tools.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair to ensure proper performance.
• Work on engines, structural systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems; service subassemblies like transmissions and differentials.
• Perform safety and productivity observations in shop and field environments.
• Operate Worley/client light and/or medium duty vehicles as required.
• Climb ladders and work at heights; wear fall protection as needed.
