Job summary

MISTRAS Group seeks a highly organized Materials Coordinator to support field operations at the Kuparuk River Unit on Alaska’s North Slope. You will plan, procure, track, and distribute insulation, scaffolding, and related materials, coordinating with field crews, warehouse, and procurement to ensure timely, safe project execution.

The role requires 3+ years in material coordination, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work a rotational North Slope schedule.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years of experience in material coordination, warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, or related industrial environment.
  • Experience supporting insulation, scaffolding, maintenance, construction, or turnaround projects preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule on Alaska's North Slope.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, order, track, receive, inventory control, and distribute insulation, scaffolding, and related materials for field operations.
  • Serve as liaison between field crews, warehouse, procurement, vendors, and client reps to ensure materials are available for safe, timely project execution.
  • Coordinate procurement, receipt, storage, tracking, and issuance of scaffolding and insulation materials.
  • Monitor inventories and maintain stock levels for current and upcoming work scopes.
  • Review work plans and material forecasts to ensure material availability.
  • Process material requests and coordinate deliveries to work locations.
  • Verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition.
  • Maintain inventory records and material tracking documentation; conduct routine audits and counts.
  • Coordinate transportation and logistics between warehouses, laydown yards, and field locations.
  • Forecast future material requirements with project management and field supervision.
  • Ensure proper storage and preservation of assets; generate inventory and procurement reports.
  • Assist scaffold and insulation planners with material requirements; expedite critical materials with procurement.
  • Support mobilization/demobilization activities and ensure safety compliance.
