Job summary

MISTRAS Group seeks an Insulation Technician to support Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) initiatives at the Kuparuk River Unit on Alaska’s North Slope. The role involves hands-on labor for insulation removal/installations, asbestos abatement, scaffolding, line lifts, fabrication, and general maintenance with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

You will work closely with CUI Specialists and Scaffold/Line Lift Technicians on a rotational North Slope schedule, performing duties safely and

Qualifications

• Completion of NSTC training.
• Valid driver's license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Alaska Asbestos Abatement Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform asbestos abatement on process piping per regulations and site requirements.
• Erect and dismantle non-engineered scaffold.
• Construct crib stacks and lift configurations as per form.
• Assist with line lifts using airbags, lift jacks, rigging, and cranes.
• Perform insulation removal and installation as directed.
• Maintain safety certifications and operate standard shop equipment.
