Job summary

Huitt-Zollars in Albuquerque, NM seeks an Architectural Staff II to support design teams in preparing design and construction drawings and assist in construction administration for Public Works projects.

The role requires 3 years of architectural experience, Revit proficiency, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver detailed construction documents and responsive project records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture from a NCARB accredited program.
• 3 years of related architectural experience producing detailed construction documents.
• AXP and licensure pursuit.
• Ability to read red lines and modify Revit models and other documents.
• Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem solving/analysis and technical capacity.
• Ability to research and apply building codes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong task-oriented time management.
• Collaborative teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Simultaneous work on a minimum of 2-3 projects at various development stages.
• Prepares project designs and construction documents using BIM software and equipment.
• Prepares documents during project development (minutes, specs, applications).
• Visit project sites with supervisor and document findings as needed.
• Research materials, assemblies, or codes for design and drawings.
• Integrate consultants and suppliers data into Revit models.
• Assist in processing submittals and RFIs by logging and routing.
• Attend and distribute meeting minutes and assist with correspondence.
• Prepare graphic materials for presentations or documents.
• Prepare material finish boards/binders.
• Travel to construction sites and client meetings.
