Job summary

BRT is a manufacturers' representative firm serving the building envelope and restoration market. We are looking for an architectural sales representative who can build relationships with design firms, understand project requirements and follow an opportunity from early design through bidding and construction.

This full-time, field-based role covers New York City and Long Island, requires 3+ years in architectural sales, and travel within the territory.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in architectural sales or related construction roles.
• Experience with roofing, insulation, wall panels, cladding, waterproofing.
• Ability to read plans and specifications and explain technical information.
• Strong presentation skills and reliable follow-through.
• Existing NYC/LI design-community relationships a plus.
• Willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with architects, engineers, spec writers, and owners.
• Identify upcoming roofing, insulation projects and position products.
• Arrange product presentations, lunch-and-learns, and training.
• Coordinate data, samples, details, and technical questions with manufacturers.
• Track projects, bid dates, and next steps with the sales team.
• Maintain CRM contacts and follow-up activity.
