Job summary

Brtnyc seeks a Roofing & Insulation Territory Sales Representative in New York City and Long Island. It is a full-time, field-based role that builds relationships with contractors and distributors to grow BRT's roofing and insulation business.

The successful candidate has 3+ years in outside sales within construction materials, strong negotiation and organizational skills, and the ability to travel to customer locations. Revenue growth and account development are key.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in outside sales, preferably commercial roofing, insulation, or construction materials.
• A record of opening accounts, growing customer relationships, and closing business.
• Familiarity with commercial roofing systems and insulation; SBS, TPO, EPDM, polyiso, or XPS is valuable.
• Strong communication, negotiation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new contractor and distributor relationships while growing existing accounts.
• Identify upcoming reroofing, new construction, and insulation opportunities; qualify project scope, timing, decision-makers and competition.
• Make regular customer and jobsite visits and present product and system options suited to the project.
• Coordinate project pricing, quotes, submittals, availability and delivery requirements with distributors and manufacturers.
• Follow bids and quotations through award and purchase, with clear next steps and timely follow-up.
• Work with architectural reps on specified projects and keep account activity current in the CRM.
• Meet agreed sales goals and bring market feedback to BRT and its manufacturer partners.
