Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Resource Manager for the Architectural Department within the Data Center Performance Unit. This role focuses on optimizing staffing, forecasting resource needs, supporting department growth via recruitment and onboarding, and delivering operational support to enable efficient project delivery across a growing data center portfolio.

The position reports to the Department Manager and works with Architectural Department Leadership, Sector Managers, Program Managers, and Staff.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture or related field as specified.
• Minimum 7 years in architecture, operations or resource management.
• Experience with work plans and staff assignment.
• Strong scheduling, resourcing, and reporting skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Discretion handling confidential personnel and budget info.

Responsibilities

• Track staff resourcing and utilization and maintain LOE hours and deliverables.
• Lead staffing organization with Sector Managers and Dept Leadership.
• Coordinate staffing with other departments and units such as Global Integrated Delivery (GID).
• Forecast staffing needs based on project pipeline and workload.
• Identify resource gaps and provide leadership recommendations.
• Prepare periodic reports for Department Leadership and the VP/BU Director.
• Maintain staff records: location, salary, role, credentials.
• Assist in proposals: LOE hours and FTEs requested, staffing assignments.
• Develop and maintain SharePoint file organization and onboarding process.
• Coordinate performance evaluations between staff and managers.
• Collaborate with recruiting agents and applicant-tracking systems.
• Coordinate new hire offers with leadership, recruiting, and HR.
• Facilitate onboarding with Jacobs Navigators and local office onboarding.
• Review and approve timesheets of direct/indirect reports.
• Liaise with centralized AM Support Functions (HR, Finance, Legal, IT, Marketing & Comms).
• Support licensing reciprocity for architectural licenses.
• Organize monthly department staff meetings.
