Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Resource Manager within the Architectural Department of the Data Center Performance Unit across the United States. You will optimize staffing, forecast resource needs, and support onboarding and proposals to enable efficient project delivery in a rapidly expanding data center portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years in architecture, operations management, resource management, or related field.
  • Experience with developing work plans and assigning staff to execute the work.
  • Proficiency with scheduling, resourcing, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for senior leadership audiences.
  • Discretion in handling confidential personnel, budget, and client information.

Responsibilities

  • Track and report staff resourcing and utilization; maintain the department's resource-allocation system.
  • Lead staffing organization efforts with Sector and Program Managers and leadership.
  • Coordinate staffing needs with other departments and business units (e.g., GID).
  • Forecast staffing needs based on project pipeline and workload.
  • Identify resource gaps and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Prepare recurring operational reporting for leadership and VP/Director.
  • Maintain records of staff location, salary, role, and credentials.
  • Support proposal development by generating LOE hours and FTEs.
  • Develop and maintain a SharePoint filing system and standards.
  • Coordinate performance evaluations between staff and managers.
  • Collaborate with recruiting agents; schedule interviews and onboarding.
  • Coordinate new hire offers with leadership, recruiting, and HR.
  • Facilitate onboarding with Jacobs Navigators and local office logistics.
  • Review and approve staff timesheets for direct/indirect reports.
  • Serve as liaison to centralized AM support functions.
  • Support reciprocity for architectural licensure in other states.
  • Organize monthly department staff meetings with leadership.
