Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Resource Manager to lead architectural staffing and operational support for a growing data center portfolio. You will forecast resource needs, coordinate staffing, and collaborate with Sector Managers and HR to ensure project delivery. This role is available across the U.S.

with a hybrid work model. Ideal candidates have a professional architecture degree or related field and at least 7 years of experience in architecture or operations management.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) or related business/HR degree.
• Minimum of 7 years in architecture, operations/resource management or related field.
• Experience developing work plans and staff assignments.
• Strong scheduling, resourcing, and reporting skills (MS 365, resource-management tools).
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication; prepare materials for senior leaders.
• Discretion with confidential personnel, budget, and client information.

Responsibilities

• Track staff resourcing and utilization via the department's allocation system.
• Lead staffing with Sector/Program Managers; review key assignments.
• Coordinate staffing with other departments and Global Integrated Delivery.
• Forecast staffing needs based on project pipeline.
• Identify resource gaps and advise leadership.
• Prepare periodic headcount, utilization, and retention reports.
• Maintain staff records: location, salary, role, credentials.
• Support proposal work: LOE hours and required FTEs.
• Maintain SharePoint filing standards and resources.
• Coordinate e3 performance evaluations with managers.
• Collaborate with recruiters: interview scheduling and ATS.
• Coordinate offers with leadership, recruiting, and HR.
• Facilitate new-hire onboarding with HR and IT.
• Develop onboarding logistics with Jacobs Navigators.
• Arrange local office onboarding and security access.
• Review and approve direct and indirect staff timesheets.
• Liaise with central HR, Finance, Legal, IT, Marketing.
• Support reciprocity for architectural licensing.
• Organize monthly department meetings.
