Job summary

Sundance Consultants, part of True Environmental and partner firms, seeks an Archaeologist PI/Project Manager to lead field crews and expand archaeology services across the Pacific Northwest in the United States. You will develop work, lead all phases of cultural resource investigations under NHPA Section 106/110, and potentially NEPA-related sections.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience; ten years preferred; regional experience in desert southwest and intermountain west region (as stated).
  • Experience with NHPA Section 106/110 and NEPA a plus.
  • Proficiency with GPS and MS Office; ability to work in remote locations.
  • Able to pass pre-employment and post-employment drug and alcohol tests.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record; eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cultural resources projects and field crews.
  • Develop work plans, schedules, and budgets for projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, and tribal representatives.
  • Prepare data recovery plans and write reports.
  • Mentor junior staff and supervise cultural resources personnel.
  • Support NHPA Section 106/110 and NEPA permitting for projects.
