Sundance Consultants, a part of True Environmental and its partner firms, invites applications for an Archaeologist PI/PM to lead cultural resources field crews and expand archaeology services in the Pacific Northwest. This role will oversee NHPA work, coordinate with clients, and mentor staff across projects in a dynamic environment.

The position emphasizes managing scope, schedule, and budget while delivering high-quality technical products and maintaining compliance with federal/state

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology or a related field.
  • Minimum five years supervisory experience; preferably ten in cultural resource positions.
  • Familiarity with GPS technology and remote locations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, stay organized, and work on multiple tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem solving, and project management.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision; MS Office proficiency.
  • Must pass pre- and post-employment drug/alcohol tests; valid driver's license and driving record.
  • Eligible to be employed in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cultural resources projects, manage field studies, and supervise field teams.
  • Lead proposal development: scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate with clients and colleagues to develop regional work.
  • Assist invoicing, staff management, and budget tracking.
  • Serve as PI for cultural resources projects, including fieldwork, reporting, and curation.
  • Coordinate project mobilization and demobilization to sites.
  • Support NHPA Sections 106/110 and project permitting for diverse clients.
  • Develop regional staff resources and mentor team members.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality technical products through QA protocols.
