Job summary

Sundance Consultants, part of True Environmental, seeks an Archaeologist PI/Project Manager to lead cultural resources field crews and expand archaeology services in the Pacific Northwest. You will oversee all phases of cultural resource investigations under NHPA and contribute to NEPA-related documentation.

The role involves mentoring junior staff, coordinating with clients and agencies, and ensuring compliance with federal and state cultural resources regulations.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree required in Archaeology, Anthropology or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience, preferably ten (10) years in cultural resource positions.
  • Ability to use GPS technology in remote locations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project planning, development, and management.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite; strong people skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cultural resources projects, business development opportunities, and manage archaeological/historic resources projects and field teams.
  • Lead technical and strategy elements of proposal development including scope, schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate with clients and colleagues to develop regional work strategies.
  • Assist in invoicing, staff management, and budget tracking.
  • Lead PI/PM responsibilities for field surveys, monitoring, data recovery, and report preparation.
  • Coordinate project mobilization and demobilization to sites.
  • Support NHPA Sections 106 and 110 analyses and permitting for various clients and tribes.
