Job summary

Sundance Consultants, part of True Environmental and its partner firms, seeks an Archaeologist PI/Project Manager to lead field crews and expand archaeology services in the Pacific Northwest. You will oversee all phases of cultural resource investigations under NHPA and contribute to permitting actions.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years supervisory experience in cultural resource positions; regional experience preferred in desert southwest and intermountain west.
  • Ability to use GPS technology in remote locations.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, and work on multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cultural resources projects, including directing field studies, supervising field teams, and coordinating work in the Pacific Northwest.
  • Develop proposals with scope, schedule, and budget considerations; contribute to strategy and project planning.
  • Coordinate with clients, agency staff, and tribal representatives; ensure compliance with NHPA, NEPA, and other regulations.
  • Prepare data recovery and monitoring plans; oversee report writing and project deliverables.
  • Mentor junior staff and manage project staffing and budgeting; support project mobilization and demobilization.
