Job summary

Sundance Consultants, a part of True Environmental, seeks an Archaeologist PI/Project Manager to lead cultural resources field crews and expand archaeology services in the Pacific Northwest. You will oversee project development, coordinate with clients and agencies, and mentor junior staff while ensuring NHPA/NEPA compliance and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology or related field.
  • Minimum five years in supervisory roles in cultural resources, incl. NHPA/Section 106/110.
  • Ability to work in remote locations using GPS and standard field equipment.
  • Strong time management, organization and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; capable report writing and client interaction.
  • Project planning, development, and management experience.
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.
  • Proficient with MS Office and strong people skills.
  • Able to pass pre-employment and post-employment drug/alcohol tests.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record; eligible to employ in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cultural resources projects and field teams, including scope, schedule and budget management.
  • Drive business development and proposal development for regional opportunities.
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies and tribal representatives.
  • Oversee data collection, monitoring plans, and reporting in NHPA/NEPA contexts.
  • Mentor junior staff and supervise culture staff across projects.
  • Ensure high-quality technical products via QA protocols.
