Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Solon, OH is offering an Arborist Trainee Internship beginning Spring-Summer 2027. You’ll work in the field alongside experienced Arborists and plant health care technicians, learning pruning, cabling, and landscape installation while delivering client service.

Hours are 40–50 per week (Mon–Fri with some Saturdays). Salary ranges from $22–$23 per hour, with pathway to professional development and four diverse service lines nationwide.

Qualifications

• Studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry or related discipline
• Driver’s license required; commercial license a plus

Responsibilities

• Learn to be a tree doctor in the field with experienced Arborists and crews
• Assist with pruning, removal, cabling, and maintenance of trees and landscapes
• Operate field equipment safely and follow company safety policies
