Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in North Ridgeville, OH offers an Arborist Trainee Internship beginning Spring-Summer 2027. This field-based program provides hands-on training alongside seasoned arborists, with daily field work and client service exposure.

Interns work 40–50 hours per week, Monday–Friday with some Saturdays. Hourly salary ranges from $22 to $23; CDL is a plus and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry or related discipline.
• Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn tree care techniques in the field with experienced arborists.
• Perform pruning, removal, cabling, bracing and maintenance tasks.
• Assist with plant health care activities and safety practices.
• Support client service and basic service sales activities.
