Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in North Ridgeville, OH is offering an Arborist Trainee Internship for spring-summer 2027. This field-based program invites students to work alongside seasoned arborists and plant health care professionals to gain hands-on experience.

You will learn tree care, pruning, cabling, and safe equipment operation, with opportunities for career development and access to industry training.

Qualifications

• Pursuing study in Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry or related field.
• Driver’s license required; Commercial license a plus.
• Enthusiasm for proper plant care and arboriculture.
• Willingness to learn and engage in field-based work with safety emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Learn tree care in the field alongside experienced Arborists, Climbers and Plant Health Care staff.
• Perform pruning, cabling, and maintenance while operating equipment safely.
