Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company offers an Arborist Trainee Internship based in Needham, MA. You will work in the field alongside experienced arborists and landscape professionals to deliver exceptional client service and grow your career in the green industry.

Internship runs Spring–Summer 2027 with 40–50 hours per week, Monday–Friday and some Saturdays. The program includes hands‑on training, safety emphasis and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry or related discipline
• Driver’s license required. CDL a plus

Responsibilities

• Learn tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing and maintenance
• Gain experience with Tree & Landscape Installation and safe equipment operation
• Develop Plant Health Care knowledge including deep root fertilization and soil care
• Support client service, sales, management and leadership fundamentals
