Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company invites applications for an Arborist Trainee Internship in South Londonderry, VT. This field-based program runs Spring-Summer 2027, offering hands-on experience under veteran Arborists and Plant Health Care professionals.

Expect 40-50 hours/week, with some Saturdays, and a hourly salary in the low to mid $20s. Interns gain exposure to safety practices, climbing, and customer service, plus career development across four service lines nationwide.

Qualifications

• Studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry or related discipline.
• Driverss license required. CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn to be a tree doctor by working in the field with experienced Arborists and plant health care technicians.
• Perform tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing and maintenance.
• Assist with Tree & Landscape Installation and safe operation of field equipment.
