Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking an Arborist Trainee Internship in Meredith, NH. The role is field-based, offering hands-on training under experienced Arborists and Plant Health Care technicians.

The internship runs in Spring–Summer 2027, with 40-50 hours per week, Monday–Friday and some Saturdays, at an hourly rate of $22–$23. Interns gain exposure to tree care, landscape installation, and safety practices, with access to industry-leading training and career development throughout the

Qualifications

• Pursuing arboriculture, urban forestry, natural resources, horticulture, or related discipline.
• Driver’s license required; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn to be a tree doctor and work in the field alongside experienced arborists and landscape professionals to deliver client service.
• Tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing and maintenance.
• Safe operation of equipment such as chainsaws and chippers.
• Plant health care including deep root fertilization and pest/disease management.
