Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company seeks an Arborist Trainee Internship in Acton, MA. This on-site internship offers hands-on field work alongside qualified arborists, climbers, and plant health care crews to grow practical skills in a real-world tree care environment.

Hours are 40–50 per week (Mon–Fri with some Saturdays). Compensation is $22–$23 per hour, with paid training and access to industry-leading resources. CDL is a plus for applicants with a driver's license.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for proper plant care and arboriculture.
• Love of the outdoors and willingness to learn.
• Demonstrated ability to report to work regularly and punctually.

Responsibilities

• Learn to be a tree doctor by working in the field with experienced Arborists and Landscape professionals.
• Assist with tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing and maintenance; installation work.
• Operate safe field equipment and support Plant Health Care tasks.
