Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company offers a Spring - Summer 2027 Arborist Trainee Internship designed for students pursuing Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, and related fields. Interns will explore tree care, plant health care, and client services, with mentorship from division managers.

The work spans residential and commercial sites and may include office tasks. Starting compensation is $20 per hour, with a 40-50 hour work week and occasional Saturdays, and CDL experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry or related discipline.
• Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license highly valuable.
• Enthusiasm for proper plant care and arboriculture.

Responsibilities

• Learn to be a tree doctor and gain experience in tree care, health care, sales and client services.
• Internships may vary; each division assigns a manager for mentorship.
• Work on residential and commercial properties and in an office setting.
• Hours: 40-50 hours per week, Monday–Friday with some Saturdays.
