Job summary

Centria Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under the supervision of a BCBA. You will implement individualized intervention plans, teaching communication, social and daily living skills using evidence-based methods.

We provide comprehensive training and support, with a focus on patient-centered care. You’ll gain experience while helping families and children make meaningful progress in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under guidance of a BCBA
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Reduce interfering behaviors
• Help children reach their full potential and involve families when appropriate
