Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Zero to one year of accounts receivable or related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customer billings in accordance with contract requirements, project direction, and established procedures.
• Review contract values, schedules of values, change orders, customer requirements, and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Submit invoices and required documents through customer portals, monitor submissions, and follow up on rejected invoices or missing information.
• Monitor assigned receivable balances and assist with collections and resolution of customer inquiries, payment discrepancies, short pays, overpayments, and unapplied cash.
• Maintain collection comments, payment status updates, and organized records for invoices, lien waivers, correspondence, and project documentation.
• Complete assigned accounts receivable reconciliations, review open balances, and assist with month-end close and reporting.
• Provide information and supporting documents to accounting personnel, project teams, management, and audit or compliance activities as needed.
• Identify billing, collection, or contract compliance concerns and escalate exceptions appropriately.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures, and report safety concerns in a timely manner.
• Participate in training, knowledge-sharing, and process-improvement activities.
