Job summary

Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute in Freehold, New Jersey is seeking an AR Billing and Collection Representative I. You will analyze past-due accounts, coordinate with third-party payers, and drive timely collection of overdue payments while minimizing financial risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years experience in medical accounts receivable.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance billing required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• English proficiency required.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and update AR accounts to resolve payments under payer guidelines.
• Handle patient and payer inquiries and escalate complex issues to management.
• Monitor payment status via payer portals and Navinet; follow up on open balances.
• Prepare monthly litigation account updates and provide status reports.
• Document accounts with current status and strategy to reach closure.
• Reconcile AR accounts and process adjustments and refunds efficiently.
