Job summary

Advanced Orthopedics Sports Medicine Institute seeks an AR Billing and Collection Representative I to analyze past due accounts and coordinate between third party payers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and delays. The role helps minimize financial risk and recover overdue payments and litigated claims to ensure timely resolution.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. This is an on-site position based in Freehold, NJ with standard benefits and an office environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience in medical accounts receivable office.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance billing.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Minimum High School Degree or GED equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and update all assigned AR accounts to ensure timely resolution per payer guidelines.
• Cross-trained on back office functions including AR, denial appeals, charge modifications and Medicare accounts.
• Answer billing questions clearly and politely; retrieve charts/files as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with laws and regulations.
• Prepare and send 30/60/90 day reviews and communications on past due accounts.
• Generate and track logs; communicate denial trends and write-offs as needed.
