Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute is seeking an AR Billing and Collection Representative I to analyze past-due accounts and coordinate with third-party payers and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies. This role supports timely resolution of overdue payments and litigated claims.

Office-based position in Freehold, NJ with Monday–Friday schedule, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Requires 4+ years in medical AR, knowledge of healthcare billing, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years experience in medical accounts receivable office.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance billing required.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Minimum High School Degree or GED equivalent.
• English language proficiency.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and update AR accounts for timely closure according to payer guidelines.
• Cross-trained on back-office functions including AR, denials, and adjustments.
• Handle calls related to patient bills and insurer inquiries.
• Check payor portals (Navinet) and update follow-ups on balances.
• Maintain monthly updates on litigation accounts and closures.
• Respond to billing questions clearly and professionally.
• Document account status and closure strategy for all assigned payors.
• Prepare logs and reports on denial trends and aging.
