Job summary

KARIER is seeking an Accounting Specialist to manage invoicing and accounts receivable for Career Services. The role ensures accurate posting, proper account coding, and adherence to internal controls. The position also handles funder inquiries, audit support, and maintenance of billing records.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in accounting/finance and 3+ years of accounting experience, with strong Excel skills and ERP experience. Remote work options available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).
• Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics Business Central) or similar.

Responsibilities

• Scan and attach supporting documents within ERP or invoice processing system.
• Assign general ledger codes to customer invoices and requisitions.
• Obtain invoice approvals via ERP workflow.
• Review invoices for accuracy against documentation and details.
• Resolve discrepancies with customers/funders and internal teams.
• Respond to funder inquiries about past due balances.
• Generate accounts receivable reports and statements as needed.
• Apply customer/funder payments in the ERP system.
• Assist with data collection for audits and support.
• Clear AR entries to intercompany accounts and reconcile statements.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
