Job summary

Bfs Associates Inc in Manchester, NH seeks a hands-on Accounts Receivable Manager to lead and scale our centralized billing and collections team. You will own the outbound billing lifecycle and partner with the Assistant Controller on cash application to drive sustained DSO reduction.

This role emphasizes building systems, standardizing playbooks across all billing types, and coaching a team to handle complex escalations firsthand.

Qualifications

7+ years in AR/collections with 3+ years in a leadership role.
Experience with construction billing and AIA frameworks is preferred.
Proficiency with ERP systems (Sage Intacct) and AR automation tools.
M&A exposure and PE background is a plus.

Responsibilities

Optimize Billing & Collections: standardize playbooks for all billing types (AIA/progress, fixed-price, T&M, recurring).
Drive AR Automation: own Quadient AR workflows, dunning cadences, and integration with Sage Intacct and ConnectWise.
Team Leadership: coach a centralized team, establish KPIs, and implement cross-training to reduce single-point dependencies.
Cash Posting & Accounting Partnership: collaborate with cash posting to resolve unapplied cash and short-pays.
M&A Integration: lead AR transitions for acquired businesses, including data conversion and communications.
Reporting & Forecasting: deliver AR aging, DSO, and cash forecasting metrics to leadership.
